The tet enahcer trap is a developing resource of transgenic mouse lines that are generated by random insertion of enhancer trap probes. The trapped lines have highly restricted expression of tet transcription activator (some lines also have Cre DNA recombinase), which enables genetic manipulations in specific cell types.
